Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor is all set to return to the Octagon against Donald Cerrone at UFC246, which is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena on January 18.

The fight will take place in the welterweight division. Both McGregor and Cerrone have fought at 170lbs before.

The tickets are already on sale for the fight and although there was criticism from some fans regarding this fight, the tickets were sold out on the very first day.

It also generated a staggering $10 Million or ₹72 Crore in the gate. While this is nowhere close to the what McGregor’s last two-fight generated at the gate. His last fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 generated $17.1 Million or ₹121.7 Crore in the gate, whereas his fight against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 holds the crown for the highest-grossing gate of all time at $17.7 Million or ₹126 Crore.

“Per @danawhite #UFC246 sold out @TMobileArena on first day on sale. Gate of $10 million.” Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports tweeted.
