Bellator welterweight division superstars Paul Daley (40-15-2) and Michael Page (12-0) have been proving their worth in the division.Michael ‘Venum’ Page known as MVP,is 8-0 in the Bellator cage with 6 finishes.Page has a knockout victory over MMA legend Evangelista ‘Cyborg’ Santos via Flying knee leaving Santos with a fractured skull, considered one of the most dangerous injuries in MMA.Daley on the other hand, earned one of the biggest victories of his career recently with a second round knockout of former #6 ranked UFC Welterweight Contender Lorenz Larkin at Bellator 183.

However both Daley and MVP don’t go along very well. This resulted in a brawl between the two.Daley called out MVP who was in the attendance in his post-fight interview after losing to the current Bellator Welterweight Champion Rory McDonald at Bellator 179.The heat of the moment also lead to a brawl between the two. This should have set up a perfect welterweight barn burner for the fans however they got different matchups.Daley will welcome former UFC veteran Jon Fitch at Bellator 199 in San Jose,California and Page will fight David Rickels two weeks later at Bellator 200 in London.(via YouTube):

When asked the reason for Daley and MVP not fighting,Coker said in an interview with MMAnytt,“He’s the one that said he wanted to fight (Page), called him out and then he changed his mind. Maybe he will change his mind again, but we’re always going to ask I can assure you.”Coker further added,”Absolutely, I think that fight should happen in the future, and I think it should happen here in the U.K.”

Daley however denied the allegations on him by saying in a text message with MMA Junkie,”Scott has his opinion; it’s his view. He’s bitter,He just wanted the Page fight on his timing. They didn’t want to give me the Fitch fight. I forced their hand, no matter how much they try to deny it.I’ve asked for both contracts at the same time. (I’ll) sign both. I have the Fitch contract. We just got to negotiate the Page contract, and I will sign that too.”
