UFC Featherweight star Cub Swanson will be looking for a quick turnaround from his last defeat as he is set to fight Renato Moicano at UFC 227 in Los Angeles.
UFC officially announced the fight last day. Swanson is currently on a two-fight losing streak at the moment with losses against Frankie Edgar and Brian Ortega respectively. His defeat against Edgar came at UFC Fight Night 128 via a decision while the fight with Ortega had ended in a submission in the second round.
Prior to these two defeats, Swanson was on a four-fight winning streak with wins over Artem Lobov, Doo Ho Choi, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Hacran Dias.
Swanson’s professional record currently stands at 25-9. Moicano, meanwhile, is riding high on momentum after defeating Calvin Kattar at UFC 223. Prior to this decision victory, the Brazilian had suffered a submission loss to Brian Ortega which remains as the only defeat in his MMA career.
He currently holds a record of 12-1 to his name and will be looking to improve his place in the Featherweight division by getting the better of Swanson.
