It was announced earlier this week that reigning UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway was pulled from his co-main event title fight with Brian Ortega this weekend at UFC 226 in Las Vegas due to “concussion-like symptoms.”
Dana White even said that there was no way Max Holloway could return to the octagon anytime soon and assured the fans that UFC will do anything to help him.

Several fighters wished the featherweight champion well upon hearing the news, and Holloway responded. Khabib Nurmagomedov, against whom Holloway had briefly been booked to fight at UFC 223, expressed his well-wishes and empathized with Holloway in the frustration that comes with pulling out of a fight:
Thank you my brother. I know you know what it is because your whole team is champions. Peace be with you https://t.co/WEtHgunoh3

But the funniest thing happened when Max took to Twitter to thank Conor McGregor who had wished him well earlier about Max’s hospitalized condition, Max thanked Conor by quoting his tweet but in turn used the wrong flag of Ireland in his emoji and instead used the flag emoji of Ivory coast.
Thank you champ champ. One of the best minds in this game said we win or learn. This is learning for me. Hope to see you back brother 🇨🇮🤙🏻 https://t.co/qdj9IbZDPg
