UFC: ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley wants to fight Alejandro Pérez at UFC 229

UFC bantamweight ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley is eyeing a return to action at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, his manager Daniel Rubenstein told ESPN. O’Malley last fought at UFC 222 against Andre Soukamthath where he won via unanimous decision and was awarded fight of the night bonus.

The Opponent for O’Malley reported by ESPN‘s Helwani is Alejandro Perez who has not lost in his last 7 outings, which include a POTN bonus, a 6-0-1 record, and 3 finishes. Perez also won a split decision over Soukhamthath in 2017. Perez is currently the #12 ranked bantamweight fighter and would be O’Malley’s first ranked opponent. Following the fight, Sean O’Malley had surgery on his injured foot, which has been healing according to plan, his team said.

Sean is one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC right now and he has been putting on flashy and dominant performance and getting people excited.
