A featherweight fight between former Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung is set to headline UFC Fight Night 139 at Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado later this year as first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN. After taking four years off due to mandatory military service, Chan Sung Jung returned in February 2017 to shake off the rust by knocking out Dennis Bermudez in the first round of their UFC Houston main event.
Frankie Edgar is coming off of an impressive unanimous decision win over veteran Cub Swanson at UFC Atlantic City last month, before that he suffered his career first Knockout loss to rising UFC featherweight contender Brian ‘T-City’ Ortega at UFC 222.
In addition, Donald Cerrone and Mike Perry will face off on the card, White confirmed to ESPN that Cerrone is from Colorado.
UFC Fight Night 139 will mark the 25th anniversary of UFC 1, which took place on Nov. 12, 1993, in Denver.
