MMA: Bellator MMA reveals Welterweight Grand Prix first round bracket

Bellator MMA revealed the 10-man field and matchups that will be taking place exclusively on DAZN, starting at Bellator 206 with a trilogy fight between former welterweight champion Douglas Lima taking on the former welterweight champion in Andrey Koreshkov.

Canadian Rory (Red King) MacDonald will open defense of his 170-pound Bellator title against veteran Jon Fitch in the first round of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix.

Paul (Semtex) Daley (40-16-2) will fight fellow Brit Michael (Venom) Page (13-0-0), Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Neiman Gracie (8-0-0) fights former three-time NCAA wrestling champion (EZ) Ed Ruth (6-0-0) and MacDonald (20-4-0) takes on Fitch (31-7-1 with one no contest) to complete the first round in future bouts whose dates have yet to be announced.

All the Grand Prix bouts are scheduled to be five-round.

Bellator 206: Mousasi vs. MacDonald takes place in San Jose, California and will be the promotion’s first event to appear on their new streaming partner, DAZN.
