A ONE Championship event on 27th August this year is set to feature the highly anticipated rematch between reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson as the main event as the latest reports have surfaced.

The first report was made by Ariel Helwani, who revealed that the Moraes vs Johnson 2 fight will be headlining a ONE Championship event in in Singapore, with Moraes defending his Flyweight championship against “Mighty Mouse”, the former UFC Flyweight champion and currently the number one fighter in the ONE Flyweight rankings.
Helwani further added that the official announcement of the fight is expected to take place during the ONE 158 broadcast this Friday. ONE 161 will also be ONE Championship’s debut on Amazon Prime.
Moraes and Johnson crossed paths for the first time at ONE on TNT 1 which took place on 7th April last year. Moraes, on his third title reign, defeated the ONE Flyweight Grand-Prix winner Johnson via 2nd round Knockout by knee and punches.
Moraes then went onto defend his belt for the second time against Yuya Wakamatsu at ONE: X on 26th March this year, winning the bout via 3rd round guillotine choke submission. Johnson, on the other hand, was featured in a special rules fight against the reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon on the same ONE: X card, with Johnson winning via rear-naked choke submission in the second round.
