We are one day closer to the fight between Derrick Lewis and Daniel Cormier. And the mind games are in full swing. Last day, Lewis had raised questions if Cormier was taking him seriously as a contender.

And now, Cormier has come out with his own statement on the issue. The UFC Heavyweight champion noted on Twitter that he is indeed taking Lewis seriously. He also pointed out the recent achievements of Lewis.

As DC mentioned, Lewis is currently 21-5 in his career and is 9-1 in his last 10 matches with the only defeat coming against Mark Hunt. At the same time, he has secured wins over names like Francis Ngannou, Alexander Volkov, Travis Browne, Roy Nelson and Marcin Tybura among others.
Cormier, on the other hand, is 21-1 in his career with his only loss coming against Jon Jones. The fight will headline UFC 230 pay-per-view which is set to take place on November 3, 2018, at Madison Square Garden.
