The main attraction of today’s UFC London event was a crucial welterweight matchup between Sean Brady and former division champion Leon Edwards.

For the first time since relinquishing the promotion’s welterweight title to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in June, Edwards (22-5 MMA) was competing. Before his defeat, “Rocky” enjoyed a 12-fight winning streak that includes victories over Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, and Nate Diaz.

In the meantime, Sean Brady (18-1 MMA) came into tonight’s main event with a winning record of two fights, the most recent of which was a victory over Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision. The Philadelphia native had lost by TKO to the current welterweight champion Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 in 2022, which was his only defeat in his career.

The main event of the UFC London today turned out to be Sean Brady’s coming out celebration. The American used his powerful grappling abilities to smother and control the former welterweight champion, dominating Leon Edwards for the duration of the bout. Brady immediately locked up a fight-ending guillotine choke early in round four to complete the stunning victory after dominating and beating “Rocky” on the ground for fifteen minutes. The victory puts the Philadelphia native in position to face a top contender the next time around.

Sean Brady defeated Leon Edwards by submission (guillotine choke) in Round 4 of the official UFC London results.
