AIMMAF Federation Cup MMA Championship scheduled for March 2020

All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) is organising the 2020 AIMMAF Federation Cup MMA championship in Bangalore on 21 and 22 March 2020.

Bodyforce Fighting Championship (BFC) is supporting the AIMMAF MMA championship. The event is supported by USI Universal, Steadfast Nutrition and LUCCA media.

USI is the premier combat sports equipment manufacturer in India.

There is a separate category for Males and Females. The Male category has nine weight classes, whereas the female category has seven weight categories.

The male weight categories are 52.2 kg, 56.7 kg, 61.2 kg, 65.8 kg, 70.3 kg, 77.1 kg, 83.9 kg, 93.0 kg, 93+ kg.

The female weight categories are 47.6 kg, 52.2 kg, 56. kg, 61.2 kg, 65.8 kg, 72.6 kg, 72.6+ kg.

AIMMAF is organising this event in association with GAMMA. The gold medal winner of this event will get a chance to represent India at the GAMMA Asian Championship to take place in June.

Athletes who win Gold medal in the championship will have the golden opportunity to represent India in the upcoming Asian Championship which will be organised by GAMMA in June 2020. In the last GAMMA world championship which took place in November of 2019, Indian fighters bagged 7 medals. Out of the total contingent of 21 fighters, 7 of them managed to secure a medal for India.

  • Shivaraj – 115 lbs – Silver Medal
  • Sumit Bhyan – 155 lbs – Silver Medal
  • Mandeep Singh – 115 lbs – Bronze Medal
  • Akshata Khadtare – 105 lbs – Bronze Medal
  • Divya Nagaraj – 160+ lbs – Silver Medal
  • Kiran Naik – 160 lbs – Bronze Medal
  • Priya Saini – 115 lbs – Bronze Medal
