UFC’s original double champ had to undergo the worst punishment of his life inside the Octagon last Saturday. Former featherweight and lightweight title holder looked to reclaim the latter against Khabib Nurmagomedov, only to suffer constant mauling aginst his arch rival. Given Conor’s polarising personality , his loss generated comments from all dimensions, some from his compratiots inside the UFC.
During the build up to the match Conor criticised Khabib’s performance against Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 who took the fight on one day notice. Iaquinta went five rounds with “The Eagle” and certainly looked better than Conor.
After Conor’s crushing defeat Iaquinta had the perfect opportunity at his disposal to give him a befitting reply. Iaquinta took to Twitter to do the same in a series of tweets.
