Recognized as one of MMA’s most well-rounded champions, Brave Welterweight titleholder Jarrah Al-Selawe will look to go back to his kickboxing roots at Brave 23, on April 19th, as he takes on grappler Abdoul Abdouraguimov in the main event.
One of the pioneers of the development of MMA in Jordan, Al-Selawe has risen to the top of the Brave Combat Federation roster with a series of dominant performances, which were reminiscent of the aggressive style he possessed since his early teens. The champ was first involved in the MMA scene through kickboxing lessons and soon became enchanted with MMA training, extending his work ethic to other disciplines.
With a 13-2 professional record, having beaten the two men who gave him a loss, Al-Selawe first came into proeminence due to his historic rivalry with fellow Brave fighter Mohammad Fakhreddine.
In the pre-Brave days, Al-Selawe and Fakhreddine were the protagonists for one of the best rivalries in Middle East MMA history, as they went 1-1 in two explosive bouts. The antagonism between them drove both men towards stardom, which was finally a reality after Brave signed the duo and gave them a global platform to perform.
Coming from humble beginnings, “The Jordanian Lion” has found an avenue to inspire young Jordanians, as well as to develop himself as one of the most dominant fighters in the world. He has used his newfound fame to good use with messages of positivity through his social media accounts, as he continues to hand out dominant performances against his fellow Welterweights inside the Brave cage.
