The UFC Middleweight championship is now permanently etched into Alex Pereira.

‘Poatan’ defeated longtime kickboxing rival Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC 281 by technical knockout in the fifth round to win the title, and marking his third win over Izzy, counting the two prior ones in kickboxing.

Having dethroned ‘The Last Stylebender’ from his 185-pound crown after three years, as well as clinching a UFC title just within a year of making his promotional debut, Pereira commemorated his feat at UFC 281 with a new tattoo.

The new middleweight titleholder did not want to miss the opportunity to mark on his body what is the most important moment of his career. Before he meets Adesanya again for the rematch.

Pereira revealed getting the new tattoo in a recent clip shared on Instagram. In the short clip, the Brazilian is seen getting the championship belt inked to his right arm, just under the bicep.

“New Tattoo,” he captioned the post on Instagram. Check it out below-
