UFC Light Heavyweight champ Alex Pereira has a hilarious yet witty reaction to the callout from Khamzat Chimaev.
A former Middleweight champ, “Poatan” is fresh off being crowned the new 205-pound champ, courtesy of a TKO win over the former champ Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 back on 11th November.
In the wake of the victory, Pereira had received a callout from Khamzat Chimaev on social media.
“@danawhite let me finish him,” the Chechnya-born Swede has posted on X with a photo of the two.
In the past, “Borz” had called out Pereira once more, in April, when the Brazilian lost the rematch to Israel Adesanya at UFC 287.
“He’s the most easy fight for me in the UFC. Yeah, in my career, brother. First round. First minute. Easy. No punch, nothing. If Israel trains just wrestling in this training camp, he will beat him (Pereira) easily. The guy has zero wrestling. The UFC likes to push the guy, crazy guy, he’s always serious, that sh*t. I don’t like that guy,” said Chimaev on The MMA Hour prior to the fight.
Upon taking note of the multiple callouts, Pereira had a special reaction for Chimaev, comparing him to Sing, the protagonist of the highly popular movie “Kung Fu Hustle,” posting a clip of a viral scene from the movie where Sing is choosing opponents from the residents of a slum, but not actually fighting anyone.
“When Chimaev is choosing his opponents,” Pereira captioned the clip.
