With that win, every Featherweight who is in contention of title fight wants to fight him next. From the likes of Brian Ortega to Alex Volkanovski, every featherweight wants to fight Aldo.

Recently during the UFC 234 guest fighter media session, Alex Volkanovski (6-0 UFC, 19-1 MMA) who is a top contender and is coming off a knockout victory over Chad Mendes said he is down to go to Brazil to fight Jose Aldo if it means it’s a title shot next.

I know who he is, I ain’t going to lie. I know exactly who he is and he is great. I have got a lot of respect for what he has done, but at the same time my path is to that title, and if he’s in front of me I’m going to do what I’m going to do against all of them”.
Volkanovski also talked about Max Holloway and said he is the right contender for him. Alex said, “Everyone is talking about him going to lightweight, I’m like, ‘Wait a second, fight me before you go’. They’re trying to say there’s nothing left in this division, I just think that’s rubbish. My next fight, I guarantee everyone, the whole world is going to be saying give me that title shot. I guarantee it”.
