The news about Jones’ latest skirmishes with USADA has been the talk of the town since morning. And with the announcement of the relocation of the event just 6 days prior to it has surely left the MMA world in turmoil.

However, between all this the person to have been affected the most had been calm so far as if he was in the eye of the storm. According to Ariel Helwani, Jones’ opponent Alexander Gustafsson was enjoying a helicopter ride around the Grand Canyon with no cell reception.
Alexander Gustafsson, who is scheduled to fight Jon Jones in 6 days, has been in Las Vegas for a week and, according to sources, is on a four-hour helicopter ride right now around the Grand Canyon. If he doesn’t have cell reception there is a very good chance he doesn’t know.

The people I’ve talked to close to Gustafsson believe he doesn’t know the location has changed yet (and more importantly why) because he’s still on the helicopter ride.

When the news broke to the “Mauler” he obviously wasn’t impressed with his opponent and more importantly the sudden change of location.
Now we all understand why u didn’t take the Wada test! U can be on rocket fuel,, I’ll still gonna finish u Jon! #andnew #ufc232

Alexander Gustafsson wasn’t the only fighter to throw shades at Jones. Sparks flared as the spat between Jones and Champ Champ Cormier became personal.
