UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has made allegations on UFC Commentators stating that they are biased towards him. Alexander has proved time and time again that he belongs to the top of the featherweight division. After getting back-to-back decision wins over the best featherweight Max Holloways, Alex went on to defeat Brian Ortega in a fight of the year candidate. His performance against the top featherweights has been remarkable still he feels that the UFC commentator team never gives him enough credit for his performances against the top challengers. Alexander is undefeated in the UFC and is riding an amazing 20 fight winning streak.

Speaking to ESPN in a recent interview, Alexander Volkanovski talks about his beef with the UFC commentary team who he feels is biased towards him. According to Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC Commentators have never given him enough credit even in his amazing wins in the UFC. He is the UFC featherweight champion still he feels that the commentators try to overshadow his performance by giving a lot of praise to his opponents.

“Mate, let me tell ya. I don’t wanna bring it up, but we were just watching that (Volkanovski vs. Holloway 2 at UFC 251), cause we obviously talk about the bias going into even the Ortega match, but there was a bit of a bias. Damn, it is hard to watch that second Max fight with how bad they (Jon Anik and Michael Bisping) were. Like, I need to say something to these guys cause that is pretty bad. We just watched that and we were just laughing, I was like, ‘Are they serious or what?’ It was pretty incredible. Not that it wasn’t close, obviously it was close, but I mean, these guys don’t help my situation one bit. You know, it was pretty embarrassing on their behalf. They sort of tried to do that again, I feel, to Ortega. It’s like Americans against the Aussies,” Alexander Volkanovski said (via MMANews.com).

Alexander Volkanovski also talked about his brilliant escape from the tight submission attempts by Brian Ortega in their fight at UFC 266.

“It was tight, it was deep,” Alexnader Volkanovski said of Ortega’s guillotine. “The space I was trying to make — I usually make that space before he’s anywhere near that deep. But credit to him and how quickly he can wrap up the neck and legs, suck his hips right in on your belly. The grips he has, the arch he’s got, the hips are in, the legs where they are positioned and locking my arms, [it was so quick].”

“And usually people go for it and I’m already half out by the time they go to the position, but he didn’t give me that chance,” he continued. “He was as deep as you can get. Not many people can do that so I’m going to give him credit. It was deep, very very deep.”
