Aljamain Sterling secured a solid win this past week at UFC 228. He defeated Cody Stamann via a second-round kneebar submission.
And now, just a few days after his win inside the octagon, Sterling has secured a win on the internet as well. The person on the receiving side was a fan who accused Sterling of copying Conor McGregor.
The fan, who goes by the username, ‘@SteveZ’ on Twitter tweeted out a picture of McGregor working on the kneebar, a move which Sterling pulled off at UFC 228. In the tweet, he also claimed that McGregor’s picture was Sterling’s ‘homework’.
Sterling was quick to retaliate. He tweeted out the following as a reply and decided to put the fan in his place.

The 29-year-old Sterling is now 16-3 in his career and is on a two-fight winning streak at the moment. Prior to his win against Stamann, he had defeated Brett Johns at UFC Fight Night 128. He is now pushing his case for a higher ranked opponent and has Dominick Cruz as a top priority.
