UFC 244 was a huge success as it featured an epic slugfest of two gangsters as Jorge Masvidal defeated Nate Diaz via third round doctor stoppage TKO to clinch the baddest motherf**ker (BMF) title.
The co-main event featured a familiar face for Masvidal as his former opponent and welterweight title contender Darren Till made a return at middleweight to defeat former middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum.
Last time Till fought, was a welterweight bout against Masvidal, who was making his return. Till did really well until second round where he got tagged by a beautiful left hand which knocked him out clean. Till and Masvidal crossed paths at UFC 244 backstage. Expected, it was all respect and class. (via YouTube):
Till was always a big welterweight and would walk around at 205 pounds to somehow make the welterweight limit of 170 pounds. With a loss against Masvidal, a move up at welterweight became inevitable for Till. Masvidal gave Till his respect after their fight as well as he mentioned Till as a ‘young bull’ who would turn into a ‘Tiger’ one day.
