Amir Khan quits in controversial circumstances as Terence Crawford proves his class

WBO welterweight champion Terence ‘BUD’ Crawford successfully defended his world title for the second time as he defeated former two-division world champion from the United Kingdom via TKO in the sixth round at the world famous Madison Square Garden.

Crawford started calm and composed as he measured Amir Khan up in the first round, and studied him and avoided Khan’s blistering speed and combinations, but suddenly Crawford caught Khan coming in with counter right and that sent the British star back into the canvas, Crawford then followed up with combinations of his own, but Khan was saved by the bell in the first round.

Over the next few rounds, Crawford dominated the fight with Khan only having won the second round, Crawford hurt Khan on numerous occasions with hard body shots and those clearly took a toll on Khan and right on the sixth round, Crawford landed a low blow and after which referee told Khan that he can take his time to recover, but during that time, Khan told his trainer Virgil Hunter that he could not continue.

After which referee waved off the fight and Terence Crawford won by TKO. After the fight, Crawford called out the IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.
