Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has offered a piece of advice to former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor who recently broke his feet in a bizarre incident during his fight at UFC 264. Anderson Silva also suffered a similar type of injury during his fight against Chris Weidman. Anderson threw a kick which Chris checked and it snapped Silva’s shin in half resulting in a gruesome injury. Similarly, Conor in his last fight against Dustin Poirier, broke his feet as he stepped on it while throwing a punch. Now Silva has shared some pieces of advice to Conor.
Anderson Silva in his recent interview suggested some points that Conor should keep in mind while during his long recovery process. Anderson advises Conor to take enough rest and to give his body ample time to get better.

“For Conor right now, is take time and continue work and continue doing the physiotherapy, continue working (the) upper body and stay mind outside the fight game,” Silva said to Submission Radio. “Just keep the focus on your recovery, and don’t think about you gotta fight tomorrow or in six months. Just recovery your body. Stay ready to prepare your mind for when you’re back, you’re back strong, you’re back better.”
“Your mind, you need to stay ready and connect to heart to make you more powerful, to continue challenging yourself and prove how much you love your job and how much you can continue to do this when you have the same Anderson, the same Weidman, the same Conor. Mentally it’s very important,” Silva said.
Silva also suggested that Conor should mentally prepare himself for this long process ahead of him before even thinking of getting back into the ring. He wants Conor to be mentally strong enough to face this process and get better by challenging himself and showing the world how much he loves his job.
Conor McGregor last fought against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight at UFC 264. The fight was stopped by the doctors after Conor suffered that leg injury and then declared Dustin Poirier as the winner by TKO via doctor stoppage. Dustin sealed their fighting series as he took the 2-1 lead. Conor and Dustin still want to fight one more and leave no doubts in the fans and their own mind about who is the better fighter between them.
