Anderson Silva blasts Dana White and UFC over fake promises

Widely considered as the Greatest MMA Fighter of all Time, Anderson Silva did not hold back during his latest conversation with MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani. The former UFC Middleweight Champion seemingly appeared very frustrated with the direction UFC had taken especially with booking of the returning Georges St-Pierre. According to Silva, he was given a verbal promise during his last UFC contract signing by Dana White and the then CEO of the UFC Lorenzo Fertitta that he would be the one who would take on GSP if he did indeed return but now we know that GSP is set to take on Michael Bisping for the title at an unannounced event.

Anderson further backed UFC’s No. 1 ranked Middleweight Yoel Romero that Dana had betrayed Romero as well by promising him a title shot and then turning his back on him. Dana had claimed in a post fight interview that Yoel’s next fight would be for the title

While this is not the first instance of fighters complaining about Dana’s failed verbal agreements, one has to take into account that a lot has changed over the course of 3 years for The Spider.
