Answering the questions of veteran Journalist Ariel Helwani as to who the real G.O.A.T of MMA is, Anderson Silva reiterated B.J Penn as the GOAT. Silva was on a live telephonic conversation with Ariel on his ESPN MMA show.

Prior to fighting for the UFC, Penn became the first American Gold medalist of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. He is thought to have earned the fastest legitimate black belt of all active Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. In mixed martial arts, Penn has competed in the Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, and Middleweight divisions. At his best, Penn was quite literally a pound-for-pound fighter, willing to challenge technique against size. He has career wins against five former UFC champions: Matt Hughes, Sean Sherk, Matt Serra and Jens Pulver.
Anderson Silva just told @arielhelwani he believes B.J. Penn is the best fighter ever.#HelwaniShow

Silva, one of the best fighters of all time emphasizing that B.J Penn is the perfect candidate for the G.O.A.T title, definitely adds a lot of credibility to the claim that Penn is the GOAT.
