Anderson Silva expresses interest in fighting Jake Paul and Logan Paul

MMA legend Anderson Silva who has just entered the Boxing world and has already got a win over a boxing veteran like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has now shown interest in fighting the Paul brothers.

Former UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva fought in a boxing ring after a long time and also got a win over a former champion. Silva defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via split decision at Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico. Anderson left the MMA circuit in 2020 as he parted ways from the UFC where he spent the majority of his MMA career and become this huge MMA legend he is known for today.

He was a huge underdog coming into this fight and Silva had not competed in boxing since 2005. He was facing Chavez Jr., the son and namesake of Mexico’s most popular boxing superstar and also a former WBC middleweight champion. Over eight rounds of the fight, the former UFC champion looked like a professional boxer in the ring as he displayed quick footwork, amazing striking, in front of a former WBC champion with nearly 60 fights of professional experience.

“I love fighting,” Silva said in his postfight interview. “Boxing was my dream for many years. I needed to show my respect for boxing. I need to come here and do my best.”

“I’m very happy,” Silva told during the post-fight press conference. “Especially because I trained hard. I never stopped training. I love my job. I’m training hard every day. I’m working hard every day. I’m happy.

“I’m very, very happy. I’m very respectful with my coaches, with my partners training and I’m so happy to be here today and to win and show my respect. I’m so happy.”

Speaking to reporters following his win over Chavez Jr., Silva said that he is pretty much interested to face to Pual brothers someday and also said that he has a very good relationship with both of them.

“Wow – yes, absolutely. I respect both. I have a great relationship with both brothers, and yeah, I think this is possible, too. That’s entertaining. It’s a fight, but it’s entertaining. Logan and his brother are amazing guys. The people like to talk a lot about the guys, but they’re very good people. I respect both, and I respect the sport. I think everything’s possible. I think it’s the next fight may be with Logan Paul, maybe,” Silva said (via MMAjunkie.com).
