Indian mixed martial arts star Anshul Jubli’s Road to UFC Lightweight final showdown against Jeka Saragih is now confirmed to be taking place ahead of a UFC event on 4th February next year in South Korea.

Last month, Anshul earned a hard fought split decision (29–28, 28–29, 29–28) victory over Kyeong Pyo Kim in the semifinals to secure his ticket into the summit clash against Saragih, while the latter earned his way into the final courtesy of a brutal spinning backfist knockout of Won Bin Ki in his last four outing.

Anshul, who has been phenomenal in his Road to UFC campaign, remains undefeated as a professional and back in June, revealed in an exclusive interview with The MMA India Show that he had a terrific training camp ahead of the tournament.

The training camp is going very well. Usually during my training camps, there’s always some sort of an injury, but this time around I didn’t habe any injuries. I have studied Patrick’s style very well and I am confident heading into this match-up,” the Uttrakahand-born fighter revealed back then.

Anshul, who has previously fought in Matrix Fight Night and scored dominating victories, was automatically promoted to the Road to UFC semifinal round after his quarterfinal bout against Patrick Sho Usami in Episode 4 of Road to UFC on 10th June was called off after Usami was unable to make weight and was taken to the hospital.

The Road to UFC finals will be a part of a planned UFC event for February in South Korea. Aside from the Anshul vs. Jeka in the Lightweight final, Seung Guk Choi and Hyun Sung Park will fight in the Flyweight final, the Bantamweight summit clash will feature Toshiomi Kazama against Rinya Nakamura, while the Featherweight final will see Yi Zha taking on Lee Jeong Yeong.

Road to UFC 2022 FINAL MATCHUPS:

  • Flyweight: Seung Guk Choi vs. Hyun Sung Park
  • Bantamweight: Toshiomi Kazama vs. Rinya Nakamura
  • Featherweight: Yi Zha vs. Lee Jeong Yeong
