The 28-year-old, who hails out of the Indian state of Uttrakhand, inked a deal with the UFC following his triumph at Road to UFC Season 1 lightweight contest held throughout last year.
Currently with a 7-0 professional MMA record, Jubli opened up his Road to UFC campaign with a bye in the first round due to his opponent failing to make weight. He then marked wins over Kyung Pyo Kim of SOuth Korea by split decision in the semifinals.
While being one win away from securing a UFC contract, Jubli earned a second round knockout win over Indonesian fighter Jeka Seragih at the Road to UFC lightweight final in Las Vegas in February this year. He is the second Indian after Bharat Khandare to win a UFC contract.
