WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury are set to put their heavyweight title on the line on August 14, in what is regarded as the biggest heavyweight fight since Tyson vs Lewis, which took place in 2002.
The fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Mike Coppinger of The Athletic was the first to confirm the news.
It’s the biggest fight to ever take place in British boxing history and arguably one of the most intriguing and exciting heavyweight fights of this century. Tyson Fury is coming off of a spectacular knockout win over Deontay Wilder in February of 2020 in Las Vegas.
Anthony Joshua is coming off of a decision win over Andy Ruiz Jr in December of 2019. The Olympic gold medalist and two-time heavyweight champion of the world lost his title to Ruiz two years ago in a shocking upset.
He last fought Kubrat Pulev in London last year and brutally knocked him out.

The fight will be the biggest heavyweight title unification fight in two decades. According to The Athletic, Saudi Arabia will pay an estimated site fee of $155 Million. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are supposed to earn $75 million each with the remaining $5 Million going to the undercard fighters.
