Sergio is set to fight Jussier Formiga at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on October 6, 2018. However, Sergio only managed to find a place in the undercard of the pay-per-view.

“UFC, I don’t know what Sergio has to do to get on the main card. He’s No. 2 in the world fighting No. 5 or No. 6 in the world and they are fighting on the undercard. Show the kid some respect, he’s busting his ass, and I see how hard he’s working. It’s kind of offensive to see him on the undercard,” Anthony noted on the show. (via MMA Mania)

Sergio currently holds a professional record of 17-3 to his name. He is also coming off a win against Joseph Benavidez.
