UFC light-heavyweight fighter Anthony Smith reacts to the boxing sensation Jake Paul’s statement in which he said that he would knock out Conor Mcgregor if they fight. According to Anthony Smith, Jake Paul poses no threat to Conor McGregor, and instead he would get Barbecued if he fought Conor. A beef between Conor McGregor and Jake Paul has been going on for a long time. The duo has been calling each other out and wanting to fight each other in boxing as well as in the MMA circuit. Recently Jake Paul had asked UFC president Dana White to allow him to fight just one match in the UFC against the biggest MMA superstar Conor McGregor.

Jake Previously had tweeted that he wants the UFC to sign him for just one fight and allow him to fight Conor.

“How about a 1 fight [sic] UFC deal to fight Conor,” Paul said on Twitter. “If I win, you agree to my UFC fighter pay and healthcare proposal. If I lose, I donate my entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50K a fight and never mention UFC again. Deal?”

“If I win, then Dana has to increase the minimum of fighter pay,” Paul said to TMZ Sports. “If I lose, then they can take all of the money and whatever and so be it.” But, I know I can beat Conor.”Of course, fighter pay has been a huge talking point for Paul as he has been an advocate for it and saying UFC fighters don’t get paid enough.

“Conor is on a downhill spiral,” Paul said. “His limbs are all broken, so, standup game, I’m knocking him out, first round.”

Anthony Smith on Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor

During a chat with Damon Martin on MMAFighting.com‘s “The Fighter vs. The Writer,” Anthony Smith said Jake Paul would be dead in the water in an MMA bout with Conor McGregor.

“First of all, Conor’s half his size right now. People do miss that. Jake’s a big dude and he’s fighting short, stocky, wrestler welterweights. Jake Paul’s my size. He’s a big goddamn dude. He’s way north of 200 pounds. Him fighting Conor in a boxing match, would probably be a pretty good fight, to be honest with you. But is he going to knock him out in an MMA fight? No. Not when Conor gets kicking — he’s going to kick Jake Paul’s head right off his shoulders” Anthony Smith said.

“People say that Jake can wrestle a little bit so [he] might be able to keep it a little bit competitive for a minute or so. But no, in an MMA fight, he’s going to get barbecued” Anthony Smith said.

Anthony Smith then went on to say that Paul continues to call out McGregor for clout.

“He’s getting headlines, I get it. He’s playing a game. He’s keeping Conor in his mouth because it’s beneficial to him” Anthony Smith said.
