The former UFC light heavyweight title contender Anthony Smith has lately been and seemed like a man obsessed with the UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Smith feels that one of the all time pound for pound greats Jon Jones is not evolving with the sport of MMA now and has become a bit stagnant in terms of his overall style, skill, and technique of fighting.

Jones and Smith had fought each other in the main event of UFC 235. Jones had completely dominated the fight from start to finish completely neutralizing the threats and challenges that Smith possessed and had went to win the fight via a comfortable unanimous decision.

Smith has a professional MMA record of 32-14 and has been building his way back up to another title shot.

In a recent interview given to MMA on Sirius XM, Smith claimed that he felt while Jones was once way ahead of everyone else, evolving too quickly, that is not the case anymore. Here’s what he had to say:

He’s not evolving as fast as the game is anymore. And I think before, he was moving faster than the rest of the game and I don’t think that is the case anymore.
