After an explosive April that saw ONE Championship air four events on U.S. prime-time television, the organization is now turning its attention to India.
During the broadcast of “ONE on TNT IV” on Wednesday, ONE released the news of its next event – ONE: DANGAL on 15 May – which will feature some of India’s brightest mixed martial arts talent.
In the main event, rising star Arjan “Singh” Bhullar will lace up the gloves and challenge ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera for the gold.
That bout has been over a year in the making, but it was put on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions. Fortunately, fans will no longer have to wait for these heavy-handed strikers to collide in the Circle.
Two other fights were also announced for ONE: DANGAL.
Indian wrestling icon Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat will put her undefeated record on the line against Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen. This matchup comes before Phogat competes in ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix quarterfinals at the end of May.
Meanwhile, flyweight sensation Roshan “The Indian Notorious” Mainam will take on compatriot Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat in a catchweight mixed martial arts affair. Mainam has racked up three straight submission victories in ONE, while Mangat will try to bounce back after losing his last outing.
Confirmed Bouts For ONE: DANGAL

- Bi Nguyen vs. Ritu Phogat (mixed martial arts – atomweight)
