Arman Tsarukyan, the talented Armenian lightweight fighter, found himself in a precarious situation after an altercation with a fan during his walkout at UFC 300. However, amidst the controversy, an opportunity for redemption emerged—a chance to participate in an anti-bullying campaign and potentially reduce his nine-month ban.
The Incident
In April, Tsarukyan threw a punch at a spectator who appeared to grab him first. Security intervened, preventing further escalation. Despite this incident, Tsarukyan went on to outpoint former champion Charles Oliveira, positioning himself for a title shot against Islam Makhachev.
According to @ArmanUfc’s manager Sayat Abdrakhmanov his client will take part in a Nevada State Athletic Commission anti-bullying campaign to have his 9-month ban reduced to 6 months. (1/2) 👇 pic.twitter.com/GDWGaQMyKN

The Ban on Arman Tsarukyan
The Nevada State Athletic Commission handed Tsarukyan a nine-month suspension, backdated to April 13. Additionally, he was fined $25,000. But there’s a twist: Tsarukyan can reduce his ban to six months by recording an anti-bullying message. This opportunity could pave the way for his anticipated fight against Makhachev.
The Anti-Bullying Campaign
As part of the suspension, Tsarukyan has the option to produce a video for an anti-bullying campaign. If he participates, his retroactive suspension will end on October 12. If he declines, the ban will extend until January 12, 2025.
Arman Tsarukyan’s journey from controversy to redemption highlights the importance of addressing bullying in sports. As fans await his return, they hope that his message will resonate beyond the octagon, inspiring positive change.
