Following a physical confrontation that was shown on camera on Friday in New Orleans, Nate Diaz has been given an arrest warrant.
Following an earlier report by MMA Fighting, a spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department, Karen A. Boudrie, confirmed to MMA Junkie that an arrest warrant had been filed on Monday on suspicion of second-degree battery.
In the footage, Nate Diaz was shown using a standing guillotine to choke a man named Rodney Peterson before throwing him to the ground.
In a subsequent video, the individual, who many, including UFC president Dana White, claimed resembled YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul, displayed what seemed to be a head injury to the back of his skull.

In Louisiana, second-degree battery carries a sentence of up to eight years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine. Diaz might be found guilty and subject to this sentence.
The 38-year-old Diaz and his agents have not yet made any public remarks about the situation. On August 5 in Dallas, he has a boxing contest against Jake Paul set.
