Former UFC contender Artem Lobov defeated Paulie Malignaggi in a Bareknuckle boxing match last month at BKFC 5 in Florida. The fight was arguably the biggest of his career.
The fight managed to generate a lot of buzzes online and generated huge interest amongst MMA and Boxing fans around the world. It was also the most high profile fight for BKFC to date.
However, the talks and buzz behind it couldn’t deliver for them much financially. Even though BKFC president David Feldman said that the Paulie Malignaggi vs. Artem Lobov fight sold 200,000 pay-per-view buys, the reality is much different, as according to reports from PPV expert Dave Meltzer, the fight only sold about 18,000 digital buys.
Artem Lobov didn’t take this very well, as he went to twitter and called out the ‘so-called’ fans who complain about fighters pay but stream the fight illegally.
“If you complain about fighters not getting paid and then you watch their fights illegally….you are a CUNT!!!” Artem Lobov wrote on Twitter.
No bother mate, just keep your mouth shut when it comes to shit fighter pay, you are one of the reasons we are broke!!

I hear ya brother, I think ppv model is dead, subscription might be a way to go now or free tv like football would be nice if the money matched them too 🙂

Ever since leaving UFC, the Russian is 2-0 in BKFC and now has called out former two-time world champion Amir Khan at Brave Combat Federation.
What do you guys think about this whole saga?
