Indian mixed martial artist and former national boxing champion Asha Roka (4-2) is set to trade blows against Alyse Anderson (5-2) at the upcoming ONE Championship: X, which is scheduled to take place on 26th March at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
The fight, a women’s atomweight 52 kg bout, has been added to the three-part event with a heavily stacked fight card, which will also see the ONE Women’s Atomweight Championship fight between reigning titleholder Angela Lee taking on Stamp Fairtex in the Grand Finale.
Asha Roka and Alyse Anderson both will be looking for a much needed victory at ONE: X
Hailing from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Asha is coming off of two back to back losses in the past after staying undefeated in four of her first fights. She had suffered her ONE debut against title contender Fairtex at ONE Championship: Dreams of Gold on 16th August 2019 via rear naked choke, followed by another unanimous decision loss to Gina Iniong at ONE Championship: Fire Fury on 31st January 2020. The “Knockout Queen”, would be making her comeback to the cage after more than two years of hiatus and is expected to go all out to get back to winning ways.
On the other hand, Alyse Anderson also suffered a defeat in her last outing at ONE, after almost finishing Itsuki Hirata in her promotional debut at ONE Championship: Empower on 3rd September last year. The former Invicta FC fighter will be making her second ONE appearance against Asha at ONE: X.
One Championship: X, a three-part event to commemorate the promotion’s 10-year anniversary, is set to feature a multitude of star studded bouts, and is regarded as the most stacked card of the promotion to date. The Grand Finale at ONE: X will see the Women’s Atomweight Champion Angela Lee defending her title against Stamp Fairtex in the main event, as well as Rodtang Jitmuangnon trading blows with Demetrious Johnson in a Flyweight special rules bout as the co-main event.
Japanese mixed martial arts legends Shinya Aoki and Yoshihiro Akiyama will be seen in action against one another in a lightweight fight, as well as Adriano Moraes, the Flyweight champion taking on Yuya Wakamatsu. Superbon Banchamek will defend his ONE Kickboxing Featherweight Championship against Marat Grigorian. Wushu legend Eduard Folayang will face Aussie Muay Thai icon John Wayne Parr in another lightweight bout.
Aside from the Grand Finale, the event will also see the Kickboxing Featherweight Grand Prix Final between Thai Muay Thai kickboxer Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Chingiz Allazov fo Belarus in Part 1. Meanwhile, Part 2 will also feature ONE Muay Thai bantamweight champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao defending his title against Felipe Lobo, as well as the bantamweight kickboxing champion Capitan Petchyindee taking on Hiroki Akimoto.
