M-1 Challenge bantamweight title fight headlines “M-1 Challenge 105”

Kazakhstan flyweight Assu “Zulfkhar” Alabaev (10-2, M-1: 2-0) has replaced injured Arman Ashimov as the title challenger for M-1 Challenge Interim flyweight champion Chris “The Greek Assassin” Kelades (14-4, M-1: 3-1) in the M-1 Challenge 105 co-featured event, October 19 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion Sergey Morozov (15-4, M-1: 9-3) headlines at home in Kazakhstan in his first title defense against American challenger Josh “The Finisher” Rettinghouse (16-4, M-1: 4-0). Morozov vs. Rettinghouse is a rematch of their non-title fight nearly three years ago at M-1 Challenge 73, in which Rettinghouse was a technical knockout winner via punches near the end of round one.
Kelades, fighting out of Canada, will defend the Interim title he captured two months ago at M-1 Challenge 103 for the first time against Almabaev.
Rounding out the main card are former M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Artem Damkovsky (22-11, M-1: 13-8), of Belarus, vs Russian lightweight Vladimir Kanunnikov (9-1, M-1: 0-1), Russian lightweight Khamzat Dalgiev (11-2, M-1: 8-2) vs. Brazilian Michel “Sassarito” Silva (21-8-1, M-1: 3-3) and undefeated Kazakh prospect Kadirzhan Abylaikhan (5-0, M-1: 1-0) vs. Brazilian bantamweight Rafael Dias (15-6-1, M-1: 1-2-1).
Three undercard matches have also been announced: Russia welterweight Magomedkamil “Junior” Malikov (6-1, M-1: 3-1) vs. Rubenilton “Rubinho” Pereira (20-7, M-1: 4-4), of Brazil; Alexander Maslov (2-0, M-1: 0-0) vs. Yuri Fedorov (2-2, M-1: 2-1) in battle of Russian heavyweights; Kazakh featherweight Sabit Zhusupov (7-2, M-1: 2-0) vs. Gleb Khabibullin (4-0, M-1: 2-0), of Russia.
