Bellator: Aaron Chalmers might fight at Bellator 200

The market of MMA promotions has long been monopolised by the UFC. The Dana White led MMA promoting company have been quite infamous for buying out their rival promotions. This has sparkled a long going debate and has somewhat divided the MMA fans as well as the pundits. However, one promotion who has lately been giving the UFC a run for its money and has been stealing away some of their best fighters is Bellator MMA. Bellator are on the verge of putting on the biggest fight card in the promotion’s history, Bellator 200. If rumours are to be believed then fans might witness BAMMA fighter, Aaron Chalmers fighting at Bellator 200. The Bellator MMA President, Scott Coker recently revealed that he is indeed in talks to get Chalmers to fight at Bellator 200.

The thirty year old Chalmers is a huge and highly infamous reality TV star. He made a name for himself as one of the leading stars of the popular British reality T.V series broadcasted on MTV, Geordie Shore. The BAMMA star had joined the series in 2014 during the show’s eighth series, and has been a regular ever since.He also later made an appearance on the sixth series of the popular British show, Ex on the Beach. On the show, he appeared as the ex-boyfriend of Maisie Gillespie.

Chalmers is trained in Muay Thai. He made his MMA debut in 2017 and is currently undefeated. He holds a MMA record of 3-0. He last fought at BAMMA 33.

Bellator 200 is going to be the first international Bellator event. It will be held on 25th of May, 2018 in the SSE Arena, Wembley, London.

The President of Bellator MMA, Scott Coker recently appeared at BAMMA 34. He was asked backstage about the possibility of Chalmers competing at Bellator 200. Here’s what he had to say:

You know what, I think my guys are talking to David [Green] and so we will see.

I don’t know at what level they’re talking, but you know, if it’s something David would let him fight or if he’s interested in fighting, you know he might be busy with David. Who knows.
