Bellator 200 ended with the crowing of a new Middleweight Champion in Gegard Mousasi. Mousasi calmly took Rafael Carvalho down and transitioned to mount to finish the champion in the first round. In the post fight interview Gegard took the opportunity to call out the Bellator Welterweight Champion and former UFC contender Rory Macdonald.

In the co-main event Michael ‘Venom’ Page won after David Rickells quit due to an eye injury in the second round to remain undefeated. Page caught Rickells with a counter punch that cut his eyelid resulting in a verbal stoppage victory for Page. It will be interesting to see if the undefeated fighter calls out Paul Daley with whom he has trash talked for quite some time.

In other fights on the main card, Geordie Shore reality star Aaron Chalmers made his Bellator debut by choking out Ash Griffiths by a guillotine in the first round, while Mike Shipman quickly finished his middleweight fight in 11 seconds after a quick right hand which dropped Carl Noon and completing the job with some quick hammerfists.

The former Bellator Light Heavyweight champion Phil Davis finished Linton Vassell with a highlight reel head kick knockout to open the main card. In back and forth bout, where neither man had the clear advantage on the feet, Phil Davis won the fight with a spectacular knockout in the opening minute of the third round.

Anastasia Yankova was handed her first loss by Kate Jackson in a straightforward unanimous decision and Conor Mcgregor’s training partner Charlie Ward defeated Martin Hudson in the first round.

In attendance were Conor Mcgregor, Paul Daley, 50 Cent, Chris Pratt, Sophie Turner and the cast of Geordie Shore.
