Bellator women’s featherweight champ Ilima Lei Macfarlane seems perfectly satisfied with her current promotion Bellator and has no intentions of moving to UFC.

Macfarlane recently headlined the Bellator 201 and secured a third round submission victory over Alejandra Lara. After the bout the 28 year old admitted that she geeked out seeing former UFC champ and fellow Hawaiian B.J. Penn. However she, herself, has no intentions of fighting in the UFC.

Macfarlane did admit that everyone one keeps asking her when would she go to the UFC, to which she would reply with a question of her own as to why does she need to go to the UFC.

The flyweight champ would, without a doubt, be a competitive addition to the UFC’s flyweight division, but right now she seems perfectly content in staying with the organisation that signed her after her very first professional victory.

Macfarlane reminded everyone of the increasing number of UFC fighters that are signing with Bellator and not just fighters but UFC Hall of Fame fighters and added that this went on to show where the organisation was heading.

“I’m Bellator through and through”, she said.
