Bellator London is finally in the books now and it is safe to say that the event did deliver all the excitement to the fans just as expected. The main event between British MMA superstar Michael Venom Page and short-notice replacement fighter Giovanni Melillo was in particular spectacular. People expected MVP to make easy work of Giovanni and that is exactly what happened.
Right from the get-go, MVP came out all guns blazing and had an aggressive approach. He brilliantly set-up his finish by plenty of clever feints and baited him in, only to land a big overhand right and scored another walk-off knockout.
Page then instantly called out Bellator’s welterweight champion and his former opponent Douglas Lima for a rematch. Lima had brutally KOed MVP in their first outing and was quick to shoot down the idea of a rematch on Twitter and asked MVP to first get some victories against better-ranked opponents.
