“I told you: I’m a dancer, I’m an entertainer,” Adesanya told at the post-event press conference. “I don’t have to worry about it. We came up with that on Wednesday. I tried to do that at the (Anderson) Silva fight in February, and the UFC were like, ‘No, we can’t have that.’ … And then this fight, this is my show. I’m headlining this bitch. So I was like, ‘No, I’m going to do it my way or no way.’
“Who else, on this kind of stage, is going to go and do that before they go and whoop some ass?” (H/T – The Athletic)
It has been a great year for the style bender who in a span of nine months has defeated Anderson Silva, Kelvin Gastelum and Robert Whittaker. His next challenge will be against Paulo Costa who is coming off of a decision victory over Yoel Romero.
