Former UFC welterweight fighter Ben Askren wants Tyron Woodley to beat up Jake Paul but also says that he would feel better if Jake Paul defeats Tyron Woodley.

Ben Askren retired from the UFC after facing back-to-back defeats. He also had to go through a long hip surgery that took some years of his game. After retiring he signed to fight a boxing match with Jake Paul. Though Ben is usually not known for his striking he still decided to step into the boxing ring due to the huge paycheck that was offered to him. The fight came to surprise everyone as Jake Paul knocked out Ben Askren in the very first round in every brutal manner.

Now Jake Paul is set to face Ben’s friend Tyron Woodley in another boxing match. Tyron and Jake first clashed during Jake’s fight with Ben. The duo had exchanged some worked backstage and from there the rivalry between the two began. Now Ben Askren in his recent interview revealed that he wouldn’t mind Jake Paul beating up his friend Tyron Woodley as it would make him feel better about himself as he got knocked out in every brutal manner by Jake Paul. But on the other hand, he still wants his friend Tyron Woodley to defeat Jake Paul.

“I’m still not under the conclusion that (Jake) is a good boxer. He hit me one time really good, but it wasn’t like he beat me soundly over six rounds. He does hit hard, I guess we’ll give him credit for that,” Askren told TMZ Sports (h/t Middle Easy). “If he’s able to beat Tyron, I will probably feel much better about what happened to me, because I’ll think damn, Tyron’s really good. I think that’s probably unlikely, but in that case, that’s probably what I’d think.”

“Kick his ass,” Askren said as to what his message to Woodley is.

Even though Ben Askren lost to Paul he still is sure that Jake is not a legitimate fighter and he does not belong to the fighting community.

Jake Paul is now getting ready to face his biggest challenge when he fights Tyron Woodley, on Sunday, August 29, 2021, streaming online via pay-per-view (PPV). Paul vs. Woodley will take place inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio,  and the start time is slated for 8 p.m. ET, with a PPV price of $59.99.
