As reported by ESPN, there is a trade-off of fighters between UFC and ONE Championship featuring Demetrious Johnson (27-3-1 MMA, 15-2-1 UFC) and Ben Askren (18-0), though nothing has been yet officially announced by the UFC.
There are many possible opponents for Askren’s debut fight in UFC. And Ben Askren wasted no time in showing that the deal is almost completed by tweeting about whom he wants to fight in the UFC.
Ben Askren tweeted,
”@ColbyCovMMA might get beat up by @TWooodley first but I’m calling dibs on whipping him next. He is despicable.”

Although Ben Askren never got the chance to compete in the UFC, former ONE FC and Bellator champion Ben Askren is still regarded as one of the best welterweights in the world by many and he himself also believes he’s a top pound-for-pound fighter.
Demetrious Johnson, on the other hand, is regarded as the best flyweight ever.
This trade-off deal is a win-win deal for both the fighters as well as the promotions. As Demetrious Johnson will be getting a better deal financially from ONE Championship, while Ben Askren will finally be able to test his skills and undefeated record against the best fighters in the world.
