Bellator broadcaster Big John McCarthy took a swipe at UFC’s reebok deal on live Bellator broadcast this weekend.

The UFC signed a six year sponsorship deal with Reebok on 2015 worth about 70 million $.The reaction of the UFC fighters were rather negative regarding the deal wih the likes of Ben Henderson,Ryan Bader,Gegard Mousasi,Josh Thompson,Rory McDonald and many others turning towards Bellator MMA after their contract with UFC had expired.The deal was criticized all over media outlets,fans,enthusiasts and several others involved in the fight game.The deal granted Reebok dominance over fight week sponsorships in an effort to structure athletes income outside of fights.Many fighters had claimed that the deal with Reebok had significantly decreased their earnings from the time when they were allowed their own sponsors.

John McCarthy was long associated with the UFC as a longtime official and joined Bellator in early 2018 as a commentator.

McCarthy took a dig at UFC’s reebok deal when commentating live this weekend for Bellator .As soon as Lyoto Machida was making his entry to the Octagon for his fight wearing his Karate gi McCarthy stated that he is happy to see Machida coming out wearing his gi rather than stupid Reebok t-shirts.
