BKFC President David Feldman has stated that he is very much interested in signing Francis Ngannou for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. According to BKFC President David Feldman, if Francis Ngannou is not happy with the way UFC is handling him then he should opt to separate from the promotion and the BKFC would be more than happy to sign the UFC heavyweight champion for their promotion. Francis Ngannou has been in a long negotiation process with the UFC. After several discussions and disagreements, the UFC and Ngannou have still not come on the same page and it might lead up to Ngannou leaving the UFC and signing up with some other promotion.
In his last fight, Francis Ngannou fought against then interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane. Francis defeated Gane by decision. After the fight, UFC President Dana White did not put the belt on Ngannou and showed the world that there’s definitely something going on between the promotion and their heavyweight champion.
Francis in several interviews has openly talked about his beef with the UFC.
“It’s not simply money,” Ngannou told reporters at the UFC 270 post-fight press conference regarding his contract issues with the UFC. “Obviously, money is a part of it, but it’s also the terms of the contract that I don’t agree with,” Francis Ngannou said.
Ngannou has stated on multiple occasions that the promotion doesn’t treat him right.
“I don’t feel like it’s fair. I don’t feel like I’m a free man. I don’t feel like I’ve been treated good. It’s unfortunate that I have to be in this position, that I have to say that. I feel like everyone should have the right to claim what’s best for them. At the end of the day, we put a lot of work for this job and we take a lot on our body to make it happen, so we can have a fair and square deal” Francis Ngannou said.
“In the past three years I have fought three times, so what does that mean? Once a year,” Ngannou said. “It wouldn’t be something strange. I’m not frustrated about anything, I’m at peace with my decision.”
BKFC President David Feldman tells @arielhelwani the promotion intends to "make a play" for UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
"If we can back that kind of money up, we're in the game."

“We might be able to get two other free agents that are coming up, probably announce in the next day or two. They are still under contract or we would announce it right now, I don’t want to mess them up,” Feldman said about Ngannou on The MMA Hour.
“Pretty big names but we are going after the biggest name (Ngannou) so we will see what happens there. The biggest name in free agency. I’m not sure if he’s out of the window yet but we are definitely going to make a play for him. I mean, at that stage, you are talking about money, if we can back that kind of money up, we are in the game. I don’t think we are out of the game for anything, to be honest with you.”
