The new UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz said he can fight middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in a super fight.
Jan Blachowicz has just become the new UFC light heavyweight champion after defeating another challenger Dominick Reyes in round two by TKO. At UFC 253 Blachowicz and Reyes fought for the vacated light heavyweight championship of the world since the former light heavyweight Goat Jon Jones vacated the belt a few months back.
He started talking just seconds after stopping Reyes in the second round and straight away called out the former champ.
"Jon Jones, where are you?"

“Now, I don’t have an opponent,” Blachowicz explained afterward to reporters, including MMA Fighting, at the post-fight press conference for UFC 253. “So Jon Jones, why not?
“Nobody knows what he’s doing right now. Why not? He promised me this fight after Albuquerque when I knocked out Corey Anderson.”
Now, Jones is no longer the light heavyweight champ, and he’s indicated he’s going for heavyweight gold. But then again, he also might just stay in his old division for a bit longer. Just moments after Blachowicz blasted Reyes, Jones congratulated him and also a teased about his potential comeback to the 205-pound division.
Blachowicz ready for a superfight
In the same card main event, Adesanya defended his middleweight crown with a second-round TKO win over Paulo Costa. So many people were interested in putting up a question that maybe Adesanya could fight Blachowicz. Israel Adesanya always showed interest in moving up a weight class and fighting Jones for the belt but since Jones is no longer the champ, is Adesanya interested in fighting Blachowicz is the now the new question.
Speaking to reporters following UFC 253, Blachowicz said that he is open to a fight with Adesanya, who has spoken about potentially moving up to 205lbs in the past.
“Yeah, he said that before (moving up in weight). See, you’ve got another one. Why not? We can try to do it. I’m open. But give me two weeks break, okay?” he told reporters (via MMAFighting.com).
According to UFC President Dana White, the winner of the Santos vs. Teixeira fight will face the champ for the title. Unless, of course, Jones returns to 205 pounds.
“You guys know as much as I know about Jon Jones, but yeah, I like that [Blachowicz] wants to fight Jon,” White told reporters at the post-fight press conference. “He could have called out whoever the next contender is. The fact that these guys respect Jones enough, and the fact that they want to be the guy who beats the guy, I love it.”
So for the new king of the 205-pound division there few options available, his next fight could be the winner of the Santos vs. Teixeira or maybe Jones and now there’s also the chance of a super fight with Adesanya.
Who do you guys want to see Blachowicz fight next?
