Bo Nickal, a highly anticipated prospect, will enter the ring for the second time in 2023.

Tresean Gore and Nickal (4-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will square off on July 8 at UFC 290. The featherweight title unification fight between champion Alexander Volkanovski and interim champion Yair Rodriguez is the main attraction of the pay-per-view event, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Gore stated on Instagram that he has signed up for his first pay-per-view fight, and Nickal revealed the matchup in a video with Betr.

Bo Nickal vs Tresean Gore is a good stylistic match-up

At UFC 285, Nickal made his professional MMA debut by using a triangle choke to finish Jamie Pickett in the opening frame. The victory wasn’t without controversy, though, as Pickett and his team initially tried to have the decision overturned because of a possible low blow that might have happened before the finishing move. The outcome of the battle, despite the appeal’s failure, will stand.

Nickal has prevailed in the opening round of each of his four professional MMA contests.

In 2023, Gore, who took part in “The Ultimate Fighter 29,” will make his debut. In his most recent fight, Gore won his first UFC match by guillotine-choking Josh Fremd in the second round.

With the addition, the UFC 290 lineup includes:

  • Alexander Volkanovski vs. Yair Rodriguez – for featherweight title
  • Tresean Gore vs. Bo Nickal
