BRAVE Combat Federation’s debut in Eastern Europe is getting closer as the fighters involved in the BRAVE CF 28 fight card have all successfully made weight and are ready to move on to fight night. In the main event, John Brewin and Maciej Gierszewski confirmed their Lightweight bout as both men tipped the scales in the division’s limit.
When asked what fans could expect from fight night, both men were eager to point out they were expecting a “war” and were hoping to put on a show for the Romanian crowd, as BRAVE CF 28 lands in Bucharest for the first time.
In the co-main event, Pawel Kielek and Benoit St. Denis kept things friendly during their staredown. However, the same can’t be said of Nikolay Grozdev and Issei Moriyama. “Slick Nick”, who trains with superstar Conor McGregor, went right into Moriyama’s face and mouthed some thrash talk to the unfazed Japanese warrior.
BRAVE CF 28 will take place under the partnership between BRAVE Combat Federation and leading local promotion RXF. It will be BRAVE CF’s third-ever European event, after Northern Ireland and England.
BRAVE CF 28 weigh-in results:
Lightweight: John Brewin (70.5 kg) vs Maciej Gierszewski (70.6 kg)
Catchweight (77kg): Pawel Kielek (77.3 kg) vs Benoit St. Denis (77 kg)
Featherweight: Nikolay Grozdev (66.2 kg) vs Issei Moriyama (66 kg)
Flyweight: Dansheel Moodley (57 kg) vs Noureddin Hazret (56.9 kg)
