The former BRAVE CF Lightweight world champion Luan Santiago moved up to Super Lightweight to face Gadzhimusa Gaziev after his submission loss to Cleiton Pereira da Silva back in August. This time Santiago showcased his best performance yet as he stayed composed and relaxed during the entire fight against the Russian knockout artist.

Santiago brought a complete arsenal of kicks with his renewed game as he switched between stances to give Gaziev a tough time. Having taken enough of kicks, Gaziev was all about countering Santiago. It was a back and forth contest as both the fighters edged one another with their crisp striking. Santiago relied on his traditional fight stance and threw some nasty head shots while Gaziev countered them with big over hand rights. As the rounds progressed,  Santiago began figuring out his timing and range, landed more clean punches resulting in Gaziev bleeding from his face. With little success on the feet, Gaziev shot for a takedown in the final round, but Santiago stuffed it with ease. In the end, the judges scored the fight in favour of Santiago with a split decision.
